Error 1920. Service 'Windows Font Cache Service' (FontCache) failed to start 가 출력되면서 오피스2013 설치가 되지 않았습니다.

FontCache service is supposed to be one of those always running services. Unfortunately Office 2013 actually requires access to start and stop this service. If the service is broken then Office install will not be able to complete.

I first suggest we try and fix the fontcache service on this machine. I found an article on how to "rebuild" build the font cache which I suppose may help if the cache is corrupt it could be what is causing the service to fail.

1. Type “services.msc” into the Start Search bar and hit Enter.

2. Find the Windows Font Cache Service, select it and hit “Stop”.

3. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to “C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local” requires admin privileges

4. Delete the FontCache dat files. (They will be regenerated over time.)

5. Restart the Windows Font Cache Service.

Also you might check the actual FntCache.dll to ensure it is the Microsoft installed file. Several sites suggested virus scanning which I think is probably unrelated but can't hurt.

I wonder if when you manually try and start the fontcache service if it writes something to the event log about why it is failing?

저 같은 경우는 아래와 같이 해서 해결 되었습니다.

관리자 권한으로 CMD 실행.

cd C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local

del fontcache 여기 까지만 치고 tab눌러 완성된 .dat 파일 삭제.

이번에 Iomega EZ Media & Backup center 2TB를 해외 직구 하였습니다.

하드 파킹음이 간헐적으로 들려 펌웨어를 업그레이드 하기로 했습니다.

먼저 Iomega EZ Media & Backup center 2TB를 분해 한 후 HDD만 분리 후 일반 데스크탑에 (저의 경우 N40L)

장착 후 아래의 iso이미지를 이용하여 업그레이드를 진행 하면 됩니다.

* Iomega EZ Media & Backup center 2TB의 분해는 아래면 나사 2개와 전원 꼽는 부분 나사 2개를 풀어 주면

알류미늄 보호 케이스를 분리 할 수 있으며

다시 하드디스크를 고정하는 나사 3개를 풀면 하드디스크만 분리가 됩니다. 이때 S-ATA케이블과 전원선을 뽑아 줍니다.

1. 아래의 iso이미지로 부팅 후 경고 사항 문구가 나오면 읽어 보신 후 ESC

2. D를 눌러 업그레이드 시작

3. 정상적으로 업그레이드가 되면 PC전원을 off합니다.

함께 첨부한 CrystalDiskInfo 로 펌웨어가 정상적으로 업그레이드 되어졌는지 확인 합니다.

이 업그레이드로 인해서 하드디스크 갈헐적 파킹음이 완화 된다고 합니다.

SMTP_ADSIISEX.DLL은 I386폴더 아래 FP40EXT.CAB and IMS.CAB 에 들어 있습니다.

Could not find SMTP_ADSIISEX.DLL in SMTP install

I hit the wall twice during the install because the install couldn't find FPSRVADM.EXE and SMTP_ADSIISEX.DLL. Those files are in FP40EXT.CAB and IMS.CAB, respectively. I had to uncompress those CAB files on my local drive and point the installation to those uncompressed files, then point the installation back to the installation CD when done.

As described here, I had to extract the IMS.CAB file into the I386 directory to be able to install SMTP and NNTP (probably just SMTP). It is not clear to my why setup did not know to look in the CAB file.

현재 기준 최신 Java 7.x 버전과 SDM 2.5버젼이 호환되지 않는 군요.

아래의 해결 방법을 참조해야 할 것으로 보입니다.

저의 경우 기존 설치된 Java를 삭제 후

구 버전 JRE(re-1_5_0_11-windows-i586-p.exe )를 설치하여 해결 하였습니다.

편의상 첨부 파일로 첨부 합니다.

(7zip으로 분활 압축 하였습니다.)

My cisco sdm additional tasks issue was fixed by using netscape.

I am using windows 7. I have tried so many possible ways to make is work even in Ubuntu. But I failed. ( I am beginner for linux and still learning it ).

Eventually It’s work when i test with win 2003 and windows 7. In window 2003, it's work with IE 6.

1. 1 . Install jre-1_5_0_11-windows-i586-p.exe (http://oldapps.com/java.php)

2. 2. Install Netscape navigator (netscape-navigator-9.0.0.6.exe) fromhttp://fs14.filehippo.com/8589/8cf343cc389b4df291f2d9db147c04e1/netscape-navigator-9.0.0.6.exe

3. 3. Install Cisco SDM version 2.5

4. 4. I used Cisco 3725 with c3725-advipservicesk9-mz.124-6.T.bin. Connected to Loopback adapter.

5. 5. Configure cisco router to use with SDM (https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/docs/DOC-4967)

6. 6. Well if your default browser is Firefox. Copy the link and paste it in Netscape and enter.

7. 7. Make sure in Netscape options to disable pop-ups blocker and set proxy setting to no proxy.

기본 mstsc의 포트는 3389입니다.
